Season 03 of Meta Campania Collective has its tongue in cheek, expanding the essential summer wardrobe of Season 01 with colors and textures inspired by artists and actors who spent their summers on the Mediterranean (Picasso, Warhol, Beuys, Depp, Reeves and others).
The palette of the previous season—black, white, meta blue, midnight blue, and dark chocolate brown—is both cooled and warmed with sun orange, light yellow and Weimaraner grey. A hand-knit and embroidered crochet program sits along with vivid, striped rugby-shirts that accent the collection with unexpectedly playful elements.
Once again, artist-wardrobe staples are at the heart of the collection. The shirting jacket, workwear jacket, drawstring trousers and shorts reappear—now in couture-like hand-knitted crochet, in chambray-blue toned cotton cashmere, and in top-quality denim.
Lightweight, amply cut blousons, parkas and coach jackets in hemp wool, suede, cotton and leather serve as key pieces to wear over tank tops and felted cashmere t-shirts. Denim trousers and trucker jackets round out the essentials.
Newly introduced to the collection is tailoring and evening-wear tuxedo shirts, unlined and unconstructed in tropical-weight woolen twill and cotton cashmere. Paired with calf leather or crocheted slippers, a breezily formal look is achieved.
Finally, the easy nonchalance of the ready-to-wear extends to accessories. Unlined, cross-body bags in lamb suede, calf and deer leather, along with unlined sneakers and slippers complement the loose, unconstructed silhouettes already characteristic of the brand.
